I first became acquainted with Christian Science when a neighbor...
I first became acquainted with Christian Science when a neighbor asked permission to enroll our son in a Christian Science Sunday School where she was a teacher. We gave our permission.
After some months my husband and I started attending branch church services. In an effort to understand what was read at the service, I eventually started to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and to study the Bible Lesson. At that time we were experiencing severe financial hardships, but once I began to understand that God, divine Love, is our ever-present help, our human needs were adequately met.
When my son was ten years old and my daughter five, my husband passed on. From that time on, God became my constant companion. Daily I prayed for guidance in raising my children.
