No one can be beyond God's care
I Guess nobody's home is peaceful all the time. Maybe there's a wide spectrum ranging from "usually peaceful" to "chronically violent."
The thing is, nobody really knows what it's like in someone else's home. According to some statistics, brutality against children is more frequent than most people realize. But these days, at least, child abuse is brought out in the open more. People talk about it, and many are aware that something can be done about it.
When I was little, I kept the most horrible secret: my father beat me. I would do anything, even make up lies, to prevent my friends and teachers from finding out. Even in summer I would wear long-sleeved blouses to cover up the bruises on my arms. I was embarrassed.
