There have been a number of physical healings in my life. Also, many unpleasant character traits have been overcome. My very first healing was of a headache. That was over sixty years ago, and I haven't had a headache since.

At one point I was not able to retain food. There was great weight loss and much weakness. I was tempted to feel that death would be a welcome relief, but I knew from my study of Christian Science that that was not the way. I knew the trouble had to be worked out here and now. When I would request the help of a Christian Science practitioner, there would be a lessening of the condition, and then it would return as before.

One day while my daughter was visiting me, I started telling her certain things about her dad that she wasn't aware of. (Her father and I had been divorced for many years.) After she had left I asked myself, "Why did I bring up things from the past that were unpleasant?" It was then that I realized I had been harboring unkind opinions about my former husband for many, many years.
