There are no small testimonies
Giving thanks for God's care is an essential part of worship, and we shouldn't discount any proof of His healing power.
Driving home from a recent Wednesday evening testimony meeting in my church—a branch Church of Christ, Scientist,—I pondered the opening words of several of the testifiers: "This is only a small testimony
Toward the end of the hour a woman had acknowledged that feeling her healing was too insignificant to mention was not going to prevent her from getting to her feet any longer. Her refusal to yield to whatever would muffle the voice of truth was valuable in itself, and what she shared was indeed significant.
But I thought of two times when Christ Jesus spoke of mustard seeds. Anyone who has seen such a seed knows how tiny it is! In one parable he says, "The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof." Matt. 13:31, 32.
