Read and Do
When I was little I loved my "read-'n'-do" book, as I called it. An older cousin gave it to me when she felt too grown up for it. It was full of all kinds of things—songs to sing, things to make, games to play. I'd read the instructions and then do them.
I learned a folk dance and how to play hopscotch from that book; to make clover chains, paper flowers, soap, and lots of other things. The most fun was the doing.
One day I told my Sunday School teacher about this book that was so special to me. (I went to a Christian Science Sunday School every Sunday.) She was interested in all the things I was learning to do. Then she asked me if I loved the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy too.
