I would like to express my gratitude to God for all the blessings...
I would like to express my gratitude to God for all the blessings I have had as a result of my study of Christian Science. My activities have been enriched through prayer, and I am constantly gaining a better understanding of God and His love for all mankind.
I had been raised in Christian Science and had attended a Christian Science Sunday School until the age of twenty. I had been a member of a Christian Science college organization and had joined a branch church. But I had never had an occasion to rely radically on Christian Science to overcome a physical condition.
The experience I had then awakened me to the need to take a radical—not passive—stand for healing in Christian Science. I had to decide where I was ultimately going to place my trust—in Christian Science or in medical care. What turned me wholeheartedly to Science was the realization that if I couldn't trust in our all-powerful God to meet my needs, life would be meaningless. I needed something absolute to build my life on, and God was that one absolute.
