Failure—or step to success?
A Dramatic scene in the television movie Eleanor, First Lady of the World has stayed with me ever since I saw it. It depicted the night before the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was to be ratified. Months of grueling work had gone into the preparation of the declaration, and for some time all had gone well. Now a sudden turn of events seriously threatened its success. As the United States representative and chairman of the Human Rights Commission, Eleanor Roosevelt was ready to admit failure.
A friend reminded her of her own words, "Failure is only a stop on the road to success."
