Living according to God's plan
Everyone is worthy to be loved and cherished, and God loves all alike. Each is needed and has his own special role to play. As Mrs. Eddy explains in Retrospection and Introspection, "Each individual must fill his own niche in time and eternity." Ret., p. 70.
How do we discover our "niche in time" and live in the way God has for us? We begin by gaining a clearer understanding of God and of our relationship to Him as His child, or spiritual idea. The truth of God and of man's relationship to Him cannot be discerned by material sense. It is revealed only to spiritual understanding, and this requires diligent study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, as well as consecrated prayer.
Man, our true selfhood, is immortal, made in God's image and likeness. The Bible clearly states that God is Spirit. Therefore, man must be and is spiritual, not physical. And because man reflects the all-knowing Mind, God, man knows his God-ordained purpose and fulfills it.
