A psalm of thanksgiving
Let me give gracious attention to You, my Light and my Father;
Let me bow down my attitude in recognition of Your grandeur.
My heart is full of thankfulness
At the remembrance of Your mercies,
At the remembrance of Your continuous activity
In my experience through the years.
Tears well up when I remember
The loving angels that You sent
In those dark hours when fear prevailed.
Your hand was upraised; Your power was evident.
Then healing sprang forth in such sudden normalcy that it is
hard to recall the nature of the problem.
O my continuing friend and guide!
How can I ever doubt Your presence now
When I can see Your hand in all my history?
Your mothering kindness is dependable.
I know a secret that is true for everyone: our identity is hid
with Christ in Soul.
Your joy sparkles on the waves of my thought
And lights my confidence in life eternal.
We thank You!
We thank You!
Every hour we honor You
For being Love—our Father-Mother God.
