Are you ready for class instruction?

Faithful Christians wouldn't be satisfied to stand still in their spiritual development. It's the Christian's natural impulse to want to be of greater service to God and mankind. We all hope to move forward, to do better.

For many members of the Church of Christ, Scientist, one of the most significant steps in their spiritual progress is Primary class instruction in the teachings of Christian Science. The Manual of The Mother Church, written by Mary Baker Eddy, provides for the opportunity for Christian Scientists to take an intensive two-week course of study and instruction from an authorized teacher. The teaching is based on a chapter from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which was also written by Mrs. Eddy.

The chapter, "Recapitulation," grew out of Mrs. Eddy's own work as the first teacher, as well as the Discoverer and Founder, of Christian Science. She writes: "This chapter is from the first edition of the author's class-book, copyrighted in 1870. After much labor and increased spiritual understanding, she revised that treatise for this volume in 1875. Absolute Christian Science pervades its statements, to elucidate scientific metaphysics." Science and Health, p. 465.
