Looking for love ... and finding it
Have you ever been searching frantically for something you couldn't find and discovered that you were simply looking in the wrong direction? It had always been there; if only you had looked in the right place, you would have seen it before.
Well, what about love? Are you looking for it? If you're not finding a satisfying sense of companionship in your life, perhaps you are not looking in the right place. Actually, the key to finding love is not computer dating services, singles' bars, or any other form of matchmaking. The answer is quietly turning to God.
If you are like me, you have heard this solution proposed many times. And for years I fought that answer. I couldn't see how turning to God and a spiritual sense of love could fulfill my human needs. Yet I knew from experience that looking to someone else for love was not always satisfying, either. Sometimes it was frustrating and hurtful.
