A refresher course in God's guidance
In second grade my teacher was a gentle lady who played the banjo. She started us off each morning with a song—a hymn, actually. The one I still remember best began with these words, referring to God: "He leadeth me, O blessed thought ..." Christian Science Hymnal, No. 95.
Years later, as a very senior grandmother, I found myself being offered a sort of refresher course based on this same theme. But this time the accompanying instrument was a rusty old wheelbarrow.
