Christian Science was presented to me in 1962, and during the ensuing years I have become a sincere student of its blessed teachings. To write of all the healings I have experienced would fill at least one book, but I would like to relate three of those healings.

One morning I was alone in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for my family, when I suddenly began losing consciousness. I was unable to think clearly. I wanted to sit down, but I couldn't make it to a chair, so I held on to the edge of the counter where I was standing and quietly prayed, "Father, show me what I need to understand." In seconds these words from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy came to me very clearly (p. 427): "Man's individual being can no more die nor disappear in unconsciousness than can Soul, for both are immortal." I repeated these words thoughtfully several times, and the distressed feeling completely vanished. I was perfectly fine and able to continue working around our home for the rest of that day and late into that night with a great sense of energy and well-being.

This healing took place twelve years ago, and the condition has not returned. As we read in Science and Health (p. 217), "When you have once conquered a diseased condition of the body through Mind, that condition never recurs, and you have won a point in Science."
