FOR CHILDREN
Mortal mind is upside down
Tommy and Mom were visiting Grandma, and he was watching a television program when Mom decided it was time for bed.
Tommy was upset and started to cry. He badly wanted to keep watching the program. He got ready for bed, but he was still unhappy and sobbing. He didn't even want to say a prayer the way he usually did before going to sleep. He didn't want to listen to Mom, who was telling him why it was bedtime and explaining that there were lots of things to do tomorrow.
Grandma came into his room and said, "This unhappiness is just mortal mind, Tommy. It's not true, and it's not your thought. Don't let it upset you. You are God's child, and God sends you all good. What is really good can't be taken from you."
