The testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals have helped me so many times. I submit this testimony, which acknowledges God's goodness, in the hope that it may help someone else. Our family has been blessed on countless occasions by a growing understanding of the teachings of this Science.

A few years ago we had an opportunity to buy a house that would better meet our needs. Three months before we were to move, we put our old house up for sale, but by moving day we hadn't had a single offer. The prospect of having to make payments on two houses was alarming.

During those three months I had done a great deal of specific praying to gain the conviction that God was controlling, governing, and guiding our family's experience. Three words that kept occurring to me were trust, patience, and persistence. I made an effort to understand these words better. For me the most precious part of this whole experience was the opportunity it gave me to develop an increased understanding of what it means to trust God with every aspect of our lives.
