Once my cousin was going to sleep over at my house and spend the next day with me. But the day before I had a bad earache. It was trying to ruin my plans. I knew it didn't have to hurt me, because I knew God doesn't make earaches. He is the only power, and His creation is harmonious. Pain is a false belief. I thought about these truths but my ear still hurt.
Before bed I opened my copy of Mrs. Eddy's book Science and Health. On pages 16 and 17 Mrs. Eddy gives the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, the prayer Christ Jesus gave us. I learned this prayer in the Christian Science Sunday School. So I studied the prayer that night. The words that meant the most to me were these (p. 16):
