Do you feel safe?
A few days ago I was watching a television documentary dealing with animals. They were beautiful. As I watched I began to consider the protection some of the animals carried within themselves. The cheetah with its speed, the lions with their ferocious jaws, the great elephants with their tusks.
But a domestic sheep—a sheep has no protection. It is gentle, follows trustingly, and can easily be gobbled up by a predator.
As I thought of the sheep, I began to feel distressed that it has no protection. But then this lovely thought came like a burst of light: The sheep has a shepherd, a shepherd who watches over and cares for the sheep.
