The Bible says (Ps. 103:1, 2): "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." With these words I express my deep joy for having become acquainted with Christian Science. It is truly the greatest good that has come into my life.

I will always recall with immense gratitude the loving woman who brought Christian Science to our home, speaking to us with such simplicity and kindness of God's love. What she said permeated my whole consciousness.

At that time, Christian Science was not well known in the area where I lived, but its healing work was beginning to be felt. Many were becoming interested in its teachings, reading the Christian Science periodicals in addition to the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The seed had been sown and was bearing fruit. From a handful of loyal adherents, a group of Christian Scientists was formed. Later the group became a Christian Science Society, from which emerged what today is First Church of Christ, Scientist, Santa Fe.
