It has been some time since I expressed in writing my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I recently had a healing experience that gives me great cause for rejoicing.
About three years ago, a client who lives abroad and who had been doing business with me for years, came to this country. One day, he quite unexpectedly walked into my office, falsely accusing me of making unauthorized transactions in his account and angrily demanding a large sum of money.
My initial reaction was one of dismay and resentment. But as soon as I could I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me. She reminded me that God is ever with us and then referred me to this passage about the divine Principle of scientific healing (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 107): "This apodictical Principle points to the revelation of Immanuel, 'God with us,'—the sovereign ever-presence, delivering the children of men from every ill 'that flesh is heir to.'"
