I wrote my last testimony years ago, and I feel so grateful for the blessings I continue to receive that the time is overdue for me to write again. My healings include those of apparent bronchitis, back trouble, and grief at the passing of loved ones.

The healing I should like to relate occurred a few years ago. I had been feeling very ill for about three weeks, with loss of appetite, energy, and voice. I had prayed faithfully to overcome this trouble. But despite my endeavors I was becoming worse rather than better, and I was having great difficulty in getting through the day at the office. I worked as an accounts officer in a welfare department, and fear of missing work and being sent to the sick bay didn't help the situation.

Finally, feeling at the extreme end of things, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. I also took a day off, something I had been trying to avoid but now felt I should do. My day of quiet prayer and the study of Christian Science uplifted me. I was able to report for work the next morning, although I was still far from well. The deputy matron met me and in a very nice way asked me to see a doctor. There was an office rule that a staff member consult a doctor in case of illness. I had been reluctant to do this because I had not sought medical attention since becoming a student of Christian Science.
