I wish to record my gratitude for a very beautiful healing. Recently I woke in the night unable to move my body, not even a finger. I was alarmed and thought, "I am alone." Then I heard myself saying aloud, "No, I am not alone. God is present. God is present as Mind, as my Mind, so I can think and I can know."

I began reasoning with "the scientific statement of being" from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I thought it through carefully. The statement begins (p. 468): "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." I also thought of some psalms that seemed appropriate to my situation. Soon I found I could move my right arm and hand slightly, but I had to battle fear for awhile. I realized that I needed prayerful support.

My son had bought me a computer telephone that enabled me to touch a name and get the party. I phoned a Christian Science practitioner and explained the difficulty and how I had been reasoning. She said she would help me at once.
