Feel the facts! Don't just read about them
God is generously loving you. That's a fact. He is caring for His creation every moment of eternity, and He has not created it at the mercy of evil. Man is not separated from God's superabundant goodness. These are the spiritual facts of our being, and we can feel them now.
We need not allow ourselves to become passive or stale in the presence of such moving truths. Rather, we can see that the eternal fact of man's at-one-ment with God, as revealed in the teachings of Christian Science, is our most valuable possession. However, if we merely repeat statements of spiritual reality or lightly go over the facts of being, they may seem of limited worth to us.
Honesty is indispensable in one's quest to feel the power of the facts of being. God's total, harmonious control of the universe is a precious truth that one may glimpse and allow to unfold within consciousness. But perhaps we're tempted merely to assert a truth and then move quickly on to something else without tasting its transforming blessings. One needs to exercise the discipline and love to allow the facts of being to strike a chord in his heart. One might ask himself, "Do I really understand what I am declaring of truth? Am I praying, or just saying?" The difference between praying and saying is often the difference between healing and nonhealing.
