This seems to be the time to share a healing that I had several years ago, and that continues to be a blessing and a source of deep gratitude and precious reflections.

After sustaining a hard fall, I was unable to get up and could only maneuver one side of my body. A friend who witnessed the incident begged me to let her call an ambulance. But I asked her instead to let me lie quietly while she called my husband. This she did. As I waited, I prayed as earnestly as I could, holding to this statement: "Accidents are unknown to God." [The entire passage from page 424 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy reads: "Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony."]

Holding to the first part of that quotation and declaring the omnipresence of God were the spiritual affirmations that filled my consciousness. I also denied that I could be in any situation where God was not present, and acknowledged that God's child could not include anything broken.
