One idea needed above all
Sometimes physical healing comes quite easily through simple spiritual thoughts or perceptions. You've probably had such healings yourself or have read of them.
At such times the coming of spiritual inspiration and the disappearance of pain or physical discord are so closely related there is no doubt the improvement wasn't by any means circumstantial —particularly when you've seen it happen this way frequently. And the circumstances often make clear it wasn't any ordinary mental or bodily process that brought the change.
Mary Baker Eddy, writing out of her own extensive experience in spiritual healing, comments, "The spiritual power of a scientific, right thought, without a direct effort, an audible or even a mental argument, has oftentimes healed inveterate diseases." Rudimental Divine Science, p. 9.
