Get off the fence
Can I or can't I? Will I or won't I? What should I do? I don't know where to go, and I don't know what to do. How often do we sit on the fence of indecision, confusion, and uncertainty?
In Proverbs we read, "The Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Prov. 2:6. As it is God, the divine Mind, who gives wisdom and understanding, we can turn to Him in prayer when we need direction or the answer to an unsolved problem. Christian Science explains that it makes no difference if the difficulty seems to be great or small; the solution begins with praying to know God's allness and unerring government of His idea, man.
Prayer increases our spiritual understanding. It helps us realize that God's angels, His pure thoughts, lead us to make a wise decision for a specific need and give us the ability to carry that decision out.
