Our lovely home had for years been filled with love, meeting the needs of several generations of family and friends. But when the time came to sell it, many arguments surfaced—too old, too big, needs modernizing, wrong location, zoning problems, interest rates too high (this at a time when real estate was not selling because of "tight money"), and on and on.

None of this bothered me, though, for I had been a student of Christian Science for almost fifty years and had learned the truth of Christ Jesus' words (Matt. 19:26) "with God all things are possible." I knew that when one puts aside belief in so-called material law, which is always restrictive, and lets the law of Spirit, God, govern, wonderful things happen. Many times I had seen that "all things work together for good to them that love God" (Rom. 8:28).

I prayed to God, confident that His infinite plan blesses all, for such is His law. And I was determined to be patient and not doubt. Also I was not in the least moved by the remarks of well-meaning friends who were constantly asking if I had sold the house.
