I have been a student of Christian Science and have relied on it for healing since the age of twenty. However, as a child and as a teen-ager, I had two physical difficulties which were treated medically and pronounced incurable—ringworm and sinus infection. I was told that I would suffer from them all my life.

When I became interested in Christian Science, the sinus condition had become an everyday problem of pain. (The pain relievers that had been prescribed for me had proved ineffective.) In one visit with a Christian Science practitioner, I was healed of the sinus trouble. I drank in the practitioner's explanations of God and His loving, constant care for me. I had always been told that when suffering came it was God's will. To learn that this wasn't true warmed my heart and brought me a sense of peace I had never before experienced.

For a period of about two weeks I was afraid of a return of the sinus trouble. I would call the practitioner, who each time reassured me of God's gentle care. Finally I accepted the healing, and it has been permanent. (And I still live in the same climate, which is claimed to be the cause of such illnesses.)
