Church is the place where hungry hearts are fed
I was bogged down with church work in our small, older branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I felt my concept of church lacked luster, and to indulge in criticism would have been an easy way out. Some selfward thoughts needed to be turned outward, some heaviness needed to lift, and false responsibility needed to shift.
What alternatives to Christian Science could there possibly be! Just how grateful was I? How deep was my Christian zeal?
I went off by myself to a quiet spot and shut the door on all the chaos. I pondered what Church really meant to me. I closed my eyes, quieted my thought, and remembered:
