One day while I was playing tag on the bars at school in California, I slipped and fell. A teacher brought me to the school nurse, who called my mom. When my mom came to get me, the nurse said that I needed to go to the doctor right away for stitches and to have my jaw checked, because she thought it was fractured. I had a big hole inside my mouth, and some teeth were wiggly. My mom and I said "Thank you" and went home. We prayed.
My mom asked me, "Ben, how do you want to handle this? Do you think we should get stitches?" I said, "No. I want to be healed in Christian Science." We called a Christian Science practitioner to help us pray. I also talked to my Sunday School teacher, because I remembered she had told us once about her son being healed of a badly cut mouth.
