I had the privilege of being raised in a home where there was a good understanding of Christian Science, and I feel this provided me with a solid basis for spiritual development. Our family began attending a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, from the time I was about six years of age. Then my mother received Christian Science class instruction when I was around twelve, which gave her an excellent foundation for continued spiritual growth. Through her prayers there were many wonderful healings in our household.
From the teaching in the Christian Science Sunday School and the marvelous demonstrations of God's all-power I experienced as a child, I have learned that we have one God, Principle, who governs the universe, including man. I am grateful to acknowledge that no matter what seems to material sense to happen, the reality is that this loving God has established perfect order and harmony as His law, and He is ever present and omniscient.
