I have been associated with Christian Science since an aunt took me to a Christian Science Sunday School at the age of four. Because my parents were not interested in studying this teaching, it was in the Sunday School that I learned the spiritual truths which enabled me to rely on God for guidance in resolving all types of problems—in health, human relationships, and business activities. When I left the Sunday School at age twenty, I joined The Mother Church and a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
I would like to share two healings that helped me grow spiritually. One Thursday some years ago, on entering an office, I slipped on the polished floor and fell through a closed glass door, cutting my forehead severely. Afterward I declined the medical aid offered, as I wanted to rely on Christian Science, which has always been my desire and practice. However, because of workers' compensation laws, I was requested by a director of the company to go to a local hospital. This request I complied with. During this time I held to the truth of my identity as a perfect child of God, knowing that, in reality, I had never been injured.
