"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations"...
"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations" (Ps. 90:1). A Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly began one time with this Bible verse. I can't remain silent before this declaration, so I now take this opportunity to testify to the healing power of Truth.
When my mother was pregnant with me, she had a severe attack of what the doctors termed albuminuria a short time before the birth took place. The Christian Science practitioner who had been helping her was notified, and despite the alarming physical conditions, the birth took place quickly. My mother was completely healed, and even though I weighed only four pounds at birth, I rapidly gained weight and became normal and healthy.
One time, as a child, I was healed of a high fever, following a telephone conversation between my grandmother (who had made the call in my behalf) and a practitioner. Afterward, as she returned to her home, my grandmother remembered this statement referring to God's man, from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 63): " ...God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being." This spiritual truth had certainly been demonstrated that day.
