I wish to express gratitude to God for the proofs I have had of God's constant care and protection. My first healing in Christian Science took place years ago. One day after attending a picnic, I suffered severe abdominal pain. My mother asked me, "What are you believing about God's child? Did God tell you that you have pain?" Of course, I knew that God doesn't cause or know of disease, since the Scriptures tell us (Hab. 1:13), "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity." My mother read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. And the last thing I remember her reading was "the scientific statement of being." It begins (p. 468): "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." I fell into a peaceful sleep and woke the next morning feeling perfectly free and normal.

The healing Christ, Truth, is present here and now. As we strive, step by step, to demonstrate the facts of being with spiritual authority, erroneous concepts are eliminated from thought with healing results.

During a time when I was out of employment and feeling concerned, I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked her to pray for me. She told me that man can never be without employment. This is substantiated by the truth that man is always about his Father's business—expressing God-derived qualities—the only business there really is or ever can be. Soon I was offered and accepted a most profitable position.
