You know enough to heal

Do we heal when we understand more of Truth? Or do we understand more of Truth when we heal?

At one time I thought it was simply a matter of the former. I assumed that one studies Christian Science, learns enough about spiritual truths, and then applies what he knows in order to heal. Obviously, there is plenty of substance to that reasoning. Many of us have done just that. We've researched the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, studied and prayed deeply, and with the understanding gained, we've healed some of life's difficulties.

But I've begun to see that there's more than one side to this issue. It's not always just that we heal only when we increase our understanding of Truth. Sometimes it may be quite the other way around. In fact, if healing isn't coming to us as naturally as it should, perhaps we need to open our thought a little more to the proposition that an increased understanding will come when we heal.
