What a joy it is to be healed by the one and only Christ, Truth—the very Christ that Jesus so fully expressed in his healing work!

Recently, when a bodily process was malfunctioning, I called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful support. He recognized a need to challenge the lie of dualism—the belief that there could be an imperfect, material creation in addition to God's perfect, spiritual creation. "There is but one creator and one creation," Mrs. Eddy assures us in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 502).

Each time the material evidence seemed aggressive and disturbing, I would cling to the following statement from the textbook (p. 441): "The plea of False Belief we deem unworthy of a hearing." This sentence is from an allegory in which "Mortal Man" is found innocent of "liver-complaint" when his case is removed from the "Court of Error" and tried instead in the "Supreme Court of Spirit" (see pp. 430-442). I reasoned that if the Supreme Court of Spirit did not give a hearing to the plea of False Belief, then I, too, could refuse to admit False Belief's plea, the plea that would identify man as a sinning, suffering mortal rather than as the immortal likeness of Spirit.
