Some words for wise thinkers
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.—Romans
On a few occasions, Mary Baker Eddy cited certain relevant statements in her writings, in turning her students to study and prayer when she felt there was a particular need. In view of distribution from time to time in the Christian Science Field of misrepresentations, slanderous and libelous falsehoods, and spurious literature, attention to the following passages in her writings may be specially merited. From such statements by our Leader, in which she commented on malicious attacks published against her and her Cause, it is plain that the methods of error have not changed. Evil's patterns repeat themselves. Yet today as yesterday, they are, in Shakespeare's phrase, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
