The realization of divine control brings healing
Among the claims associated with organic, functional, and mental illnesses is the assertion that normal control of the body or of one's thinking can be diminished or lost as a result of the so-called disease process. One's belief in or fear of disease as something real constitutes a virtual acceptance of an influence opposed to God—an influence supposedly capable of depriving man of his divine right of self-government.
But actually no evil operates in God's kingdom, and there is a powerful antidote to the misconception that holds disease to be a real, opposing influence. This antidote is the healing truth that reveals God as omnipotent Mind, All, the only power. God governs every action and function in His universe, including man, His exact reflection. God is the controlling cause; man is the perfect effect.
In Christian Science treatment, when we prayerfully counter the lie of disease from the scientific standpoint of realizing Mind's perfect, constant care and government of creation, we can gain freedom and protection from debilitating illnesses. We can prove the truth of divine control for ourselves and for others who seek healing.
