Unlimited beauty for you!
There is a deep longing in the hearts of mankind for the beautiful. Sometimes the desire for beauty can be almost a tugging within us—a yearning to feel lovely, graceful, free, and to be surrounded by a beautiful environment.
But we grow up hearing that beauty is a fortuity of birth, or a personal possession, or perhaps even a privilege of the wealthy. What actually is beauty—that ephemeral "something" that we chase after, but which so often eludes us?
Probably most of us have had the experience of becoming disillusioned with the standard of beauty in our lives and may have felt deep disappointment, distaste, or loss. The Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, states: "Beauty, as well as truth, is eternal; but the beauty of material things passes away, fading and fleeting as mortal belief. Custom, education, and fashion form the transient standards of mortals." Science and Health, p. 247.
