One Sunday evening I was on the beach

One Sunday evening I was on the beach. When I went in the sea I dived toward the bottom, and something pricked my finger. Soon the finger hurt so much I had to come out of the water and tell my parents. Then the pain spread. So I hurried back to our car where my copies of the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy were. I had left them there after Sunday School that morning.

I tried to find a sentence from Science and Health which we had discussed in Sunday School that morning, but I couldn't. So when I got home I phoned my Sunday School teacher. She said the sentence was on page 512: "Spirit is symbolized by strength, presence, and power, and also by holy thoughts, winged with Love." My teacher and I talked about the power of Spirit, and things we had discussed that morning.

After that the pain went away. Then, in about half an hour all the numbness was gone too. I was very happy. This really showed me God's power to heal.
