Mind governs man—wholly

When Christ Jesus healed someone, the restoration was complete and permanent. He spoke with authority, evoking the power of Mind, God, that governs man and all creation. He knew that all good comes from God and whatever is not good has no place in God's kingdom. This understanding enabled him to eliminate sickness from consciousness as well as from the body, and the individual was healed.^{See, e.g., John 5:5-9 .}

Jesus proved his oneness with his Father, divine Principle, by living his life on that basis. He revealed the healing power of Mind and taught his disciples to utilize this power as he did. He never acknowledged another power, nor did he bow down to the temptation of material beliefs.^{See Matt. 4:1-11 .} His was a life of service to God, and the healings and blessings resulting from his unparalleled understanding of God prove the validity of his teachings then and now.

Christian Scientists are endeavoring to follow in the footsteps of the Master by healing through the understanding of Mind's control of man and the universe. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy tells us, "Consciousness, as well as action, is governed by Mind,—is in God, the origin and governor of all that Science reveals."^{Science and Health, p. 480.}
