Dive deep!
One wind-swept afternoon at the beach I caught a delightful glimpse of the nature of God's law—the law of Love. A lively black scoter duck was my instructor.
I had walked along the sand, marveling at the patches of sunlight sparkling on the silver ocean, listening to the rhythmic surging of the surf, and finally stopping for a while to become more aware of God's presence.
Then I noticed the duck floating on top of the sea, facing the oncoming breakers. Time after time this bird would dive under the water just seconds before a breaker would have pounded over him. The precise timing of his dives was amazing.
