FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
A Highland healing
Camping with his family in the Highlands of Scotland was to be great fun for Jonathan. He hoped he might see an eagle and have lots of other exciting experiences. And he did have a great time, hiking by the lakes and in the mountains. But the most thrilling thing that happened took place in the quietness right inside the tent.
This is how it all happened: Jonathan, his younger brother Simon, Dad, and Gran had gone out motoring, while Mum stayed behind. Hearing the car return outside the tent, she was surprised to see Jonathan get out looking miserable. He had a very sore throat.
Gran was concerned, and someone said perhaps Jonathan had been in a draft in the car and that was the cause of the trouble. While grateful for people's loving concern, Mum and Jonathan knew they did not have to accept such a suggestion. Being students of Christian Science, they felt sure there was a better way of looking at things. They decided the thing to do was to ask God for help and get Jonathan tucked up in his sleeping bag in the tent.
