This testimony is given in deep appreciation for the many healings, the joy, and the peace I've had since becoming a student of Christian Science. God has been my only physician for over thirty-five years. Some healings have been quick or instantaneous. Others, when the difficulty seemed more tenacious in nature, have come over longer periods.

Over twelve years ago a spot appeared on the side of my nose. It got worse and soon became quite embarrassing to me. I prayed to be healed and from time to time asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. Then in 1971, while I was on a travel seminar in India, a doctor in our group remarked to my roommate about me, "Your little friend isn't doing anything about that skin cancer on her nose." Learning the medical name of this disorder from a doctor only increased and confirmed my fears. And upon arriving home, I again sought help from a Christian Science practitioner.

Several years went by, and as I changed from one practitioner to another I would think, "Now surely I've found the right one for me, and I will be healed." But every morning I would look in the mirror only to find that the spot was still there.
