No accidents in God's presence
Under God's government, man is neither vulnerable to nor victim of accidents. Even though this statement runs contrary to mortal views and material evidence, it contains a profound truth that's provable, and that has been proved repeatedly, through the prayer of spiritual understanding. How?
Let's start at the beginning. Literally. One of the contributions Christian Science makes to religious thought is the understanding that the creator of all things is divine Principle, changeless good, Spirit. Not only is God our loving Shepherd, our heavenly Father, all-embracing Love and all-knowing Mind; He is omnipotence itself, the source of infinite power, the author of universal spiritual law, the all-controlling Truth of all life and being. Even though these statements may seem theoretical or incomprehensible to the mortal sense of things, they encompass truths that have a most profound effect on our safety and welfare when we accept them, understand them, and live with them.
