Last summer when I was eleven years old, I visited my grandmother

Last summer when I was eleven years old, I visited my grandmother. While I was there I noticed some bumps on my body. At first I thought it was either a rash or something else. But then I immediately turned to God in my thought. I knew I was really His image and likeness and that I was perfect. After that I forgot about the bumps and went to play.

The next morning things seemed a little better. But that night I woke up in the middle of a sound sleep. All of a sudden, a quick pain went through me, and I began to itch. I decided not to scratch. Then I remembered that I was God's perfect child and was made in His likeness. I also thought about parts of "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It ends this way (p. 468): "Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual." I also thought about how Science and Health says (p. 475), "Man is not matter; he is not made up of brain, blood, bones, and other material elements."
