Today I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science...
Today I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and for a life filled with happiness, satisfaction, and harmony. Years ago, when I was quite small, I became violently ill. A doctor diagnosed the condition as double pneumonia, pleurisy, and inflammation in both ears. Little hope was offered for my recovery. At that point a friend, who was a Christian Scientist, visited our home and prayed for me. I was soon healed, and my parents embraced this religion at once. Later they shared the account of my healing in The Herald of Christian Science, German Edition.
From the age of four I attended a Christian Science Sunday School until I was twenty. Upheld by the prayers of my parents, I had a lovely childhood, free of sickness and other discords.
Marriage to a Christian Scientist afforded mutual opportunities to practice this teaching. With infinite gratitude and joy I am able to look back on many years of a happy, harmonious relationship with my husband.
