It is with a deep feeling of gratitude to our Father-Mother God...
It is with a deep feeling of gratitude to our Father-Mother God that I wish to testify to a few of the many blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science. This study has been an invaluable help to me in raising our daughter and in taking care of our family. Among other things, our daughter's teeth were straightened through prayer alone—through the realization of her perfection as a child of God. No material means were used.
Another healing was that of an abnormal growth on one of my fingers. It was small in the beginning but kept increasing in size until it almost covered one side of the finger. Not only was this unsightly but I was in a great deal of pain. I tried diligently to heal this condition, but without success. Then, a friend, who is also a Christian Scientist, opened my eyes to the fact that I was trying to heal matter. As Mrs. Eddy states on page 468 of Science and Health: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." After my talk with this loving friend, I took the time to consider these words. Suddenly the most wonderful sense of peace came over me. It's indescribable. During the next few days the growth first turned brown and then completely disappeared.
My gratitude is unbounded for Christ Jesus, who through his living and teaching demonstrated the Christ; and for his disciple Mrs. Eddy, who explained the Science of his teaching and his works in Science and Health.
