"Lift your head above it"
While driving along the river on my way to work one day, I noticed large fingers of fog rising from its surface. As they rose, they met the sun's warmth and were dissolved.
I was reminded of erroneous material belief. Like the fog, any false belief of life in matter has no intelligence to decide where to go or what to do. These errors drift aimlessly along, usually taking the path of least resistance, entering whatever low areas give them easy entrance. But as human consciousness rises to a higher understanding of God, its erroneous beliefs begin to disappear. Then God is more clearly seen to be in control.
We can in just this way destroy the "fog" of sickness, danger, and other inharmony with higher and brighter viewpoints. We can realize that God, Spirit, is good and that God's children express only good. We can understand that God supports only spiritual good and that this support expresses God's all-power. As the Lord's Prayer says, "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever." Matt. 6:13.
