Christ Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to "a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it" (Matt. 13:45, 46). More than nine years ago I was introduced to Christian Science by a loving friend who sensed my yearning for spirituality. By this I knew I had found the goodly pearl. And I wasn't going to let it go!

I devoured the writings of the Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible became the living voice of Love, Truth, and Life for me. I searched earnestly for solutions to the challenges of life, and found tremendous healing and regeneration through my study of Science.

There was no better way I could express gratitude for God's saving grace than to share Christian Science with those around me. My study of the Scriptures and the writings of Mrs. Eddy freed me from several bad habits. I quickly said goodbye to alcohol and smoking. While reading Mrs. Eddy's book Science and Health I recovered from a severe ailment that had been diagnosed as hepatitis.
