Original self

HELEN GRANNIS SANBORN

Find your true self, friend,
not through lines of time
nor ancestral mortal lot.
Let thought reach First Cause—
deep in the now and here.

Find yourself: man, an original,
the image, the likeness, the real.

God says:
You're primal identity, fearless, free,
anchored in Love, in the real Me:
unfallen, beautiful, pure as Soul,
immortal, permanent, joyful, whole,
out of the limits of time and sense,
precious son—
safe in omnipotence.
